The Story of Me
c. 2005
I am a 24x7 mother and a wife. Don’t get me wrong. Its great but its never easy. If I am not doing my usual household chores. I get bored, incredibly bored. Used to be a control freak , I keep notes and mark dates, makes to do list on my Franklin ( PDA’s are virtually non-existent, if they were - unaffordable..) Now I can’t even remember the dates… the current trends or the ins and outs of showbiz…
Mornings are a mad rush. I never had a tight schedule when I was working. I water the plants, I tidied up the place, I cook blah.. blah.. blah… I tell you, with my business suit , pump- heeled shoes and commanding timid voice. I send shivers down the spine. Now, my pre-school tot won’t even listen to my screams. As for my hubby, you’ll never get out anything sensible from him without his first caffeine fix of the day.
Noon and Evenings are quite better. When the cold mist simmers in the afternoon heat, so does the activities around the house. Its like running on a diesel engine - you have to make the heat to be able to make the connection.
Somehow you manage to get through the day. Sometimes things happen that make you ridiculously happy to be alive. This is the stuff you life for; the rest is just blah.YAda- yada .. da... You can whine all you want, but that’s how it is. That’s the thing about being me: My Kiko and Seth completes my life. And the rest are just spice.
